Dana Goldstein is an American environmental portrait photographer based in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York. Her work explores identity, performance, and presence, often situating subjects within carefully considered environments to reveal the interplay between self and space. She is the author of Glamour Queens (Spring 2026), a book of black-and-white portraits of Drag performers photographed in the timeless style of Hollywood glamour, paired with first-person narratives reflecting on the evolution of their personas. In addition to this project, Goldstein has an ongoing series photographing artists in their studios, capturing the intimate settings where creativity takes shape. Her work combines a love of classic portrait photography with a commitment to celebrating the individuality and artistry of her subjects.
